About Drifting
Drifting is an un-timed
freestyle motor sport that is judged on the professional level by achieving
the maximum sideways angle, and speed in the corner. Pro drifters in competition
gain maximum points by striking the proper clipping point, and taking
a favorable line that connects one drift smoothly into the next despite
complexities from one race course to the next and major consideration
is given to style and crowd appeal.
Drifting was first seen on twisty, narrow mountain roads in Japan called
the Touge where teams and individuals would compete for respect and the
glory of being number one on the mountain.
Drift machines are typically Japanese compact front engine rear wheel
drive street cars whose modifications focus on suspension and chassis
more than the sheer power of a race car which makes drifting an economical
choice for enjoying motor sports.

About Us
Drift circuit is a
non profit organization dedicated to furthering the sport of drifting
through organizing legal practice sessions that are open to anyone who
has an interest in freestyle motor sports.
The staff at drift circuit has spent years following drifting seeing it
evolve from an underground movement in Japan to mainstream events like
the D1 Grand Prix, and Formula D. We respect the origins of the sport
and the veterans who have worked hard to bring the sport to the level
it is at today. Our goal is to bring the excitement of drifting to you
not through a magazine, or DVD, but instead from where it is meant to
be enjoyed, from behind the wheel of your own car. Drift Circuit takes
its name by upholding the Japanese origins of the sport. Each Drift Circuit
event takes you to on a tour to a different circuit in Japan. Drifting
course layouts like Sugo, Ebisu, Tsukuba, Fuji and more famous drifting
circuits provide you the same experience the professional Japanese drifters
had in honing their skills. If you dream of running alongside the likes
of Tanaguchi, Nomura, and Kazama you will need practice. Drift circuit
provides a safe, fun and most importantly legal venue for you to learn,
practice and compete in the art of drifting.
We have done our fair
share of illegal drifting on the streets resulting in our vehicles being
impounded, getting thrown in the back of a police car and getting slapped
with hefty fines. All that hassle and there is never any places to get
into second and third gear drifting without risk of coming into full contact
with a guardrail or curb. It is not safe and it is not cheap to drift
on the streets, so please join us in keeping drifting out of public places.
You may not be used to paying to drift, but please consider the alternative
consequences. At Drift Circuit you can spend all day shredding tires and
there will be no cops to hassle you for it.
Come out with the staff here at Drift Circuit and experience drifting
among friends with whom you can trade secrets, and share your experiences
and techniques in the search for the perfect line, angle, clipping point,
speed and style. Register now because space is limited and we’ll
see you at the next Drift Circuit event.
